Peabody lease deal finally approved

WINDOW ROCK — After nearly four years of negotiations and debate, the Navajo Nation Council gave its seal of approval Wednesday to the 2007 Peabody lease “reopener” and agreed to use $6.4 million of the royalties toward water projects for Black Mesa and Cameron residents.
